To become a leader in any terms is an achievement. I recall at school, wanting to be team captain in netball but never making it. It was a long term a sense of failure. I only found out years later when mixing socially with sporty folk, that however good my apparent leadership skills would be in other areas, I would never have got captaincy of the netball team as I was goal keeper or sometimes, goal defence. Apparently these roles are inevitably ‘at the back’ and are critical to keeping a clean record of not letting the other side score in our net so the captains job always goes to the favoured goal scorer on the team, or one of the other positions, goal attack or wing attack. That was at school level of course. Out in the world of business and industry, there is a need for strong leadership now more than ever before. So someone who has worked their way up to say, team leader, and wishes to progress to greater heights is very likely to succeed if they look at online courses based on executive leadership programmes. This could well hone personal leadership, concenterating on personal goals and fitting them to the purpose of your organisation. Confidence to face workplace challenges is essential. This would cover how to have difficult conversations and resolve the issue amicably. Leadership strategies help to drive your organisation’s change to meet future demands whilst maintaining team performances.
